uWaterloo@Toronto serves as a gateway to connect University of Waterloo researchers with Toronto-based organizations for research, creation and innovation.

The facility operates under the auspices of the University of Waterloo's Office of Research. The uWaterloo@Toronto Director is Thomas F. Coleman, the Ophelia Lazaridis University Research Chair.

uWaterloo@Toronto enables and facilitates research activities between Waterloo researchers and industry practitioners. Priority target areas are the financial services and health/medical industries, but uWaterloo@Toronto collaboration is not restricted to these areas.
